Sirah Foighel Brutmann and Georgia Vardarou: Sirah and Georgia got this year a first residency for their research towards creation and worked one month at DCJ.

In Train Thought Sirah Foighel Brutmann and Georgia Vardarou explore the correspondence between the performer’s thoughts and his/her expression. “In everyday life we use limited forms of expression and communication to manifest our thoughts. This limitation is due to the adjustments to the common social codes. These codes do not change innovatively but slow and gradually through the different eras. As artists we have the independence, always in respect to history, to create new codes and new languages, and expand the borders of the common. We wish to find a variety of fresh forms of expression in order to attract and communicate with our audience through other codes. We wish to arrive at those forms of expression through manipulating our thoughts into specific patterns.”
