Roxane Huilmand

After her studies in Rotterdam, Roxane joined Rosas (Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker) from 1984 till 1989. From 1985 until 1989 she was a choreographer member of Kaaitheater. She created “Muurwerk”, “Tanz mit Männer”, “Capricieuse” and toured in Belgium, Europe and Japan. She went on making pieces with ASHKA and on demand in France and Austria (Hic et Nunc, Virelay, Bonjour Gérard.) Roxane Huilmand danced in films of Wolfgang Kolb (“Muurwerk”, “Hoppla!”, “Capricieuse” “Aix ’89”). From 1990 onwards she taught numerous workshops at festivals, schools and organisations worldwide (Jacobs Pillow Dancefestival USA, Mimeschool Amsterdam, Cdc Toulouse). Between 1991 and 1994 she directed the repertory of Rosas and from 1996 she was a teacher at the faculty of P.A.R.T.S, RITCS, H.I.D., and various companies. Since 1997 she is the director of danscentrumjette.
